In the people business…..

O woe is me…… As I continue to operate my vintage and jewelry business, I’m constantly learning new lessons through my triumphs and low-down pitfalls. Being an owner or manager of anything is tough, you are solely responsible for everything. But one thing you can’t predict is how others will perceive your actions or items. It’s a leap of faith.
Recently, I ran into a customer that reminded me of this rule and nothing I was doing was pleasing to her. Frustrating since I was doing what I humanly could offer, but ultimately at the end of the day the customer is always right. 
But I must wonder if people forget that we are all human and prone to error. As a service worker in my Clark Kent life, I realize that clients tend to hold you up on a pedestal as the ” one who knows all.” Trust is major and they really look to you to be their protector or voice. Yet that responsibility creates expectations that will only end in someone not getting what they expected.
So to calm my inner street side that would love to say” Lady , I’m a mother, wife and fulltime 10 hour a day worker that took a day to respond to your message but your tripping?! I will be offering a coupon to my customers that will give free shipping for this weekend on all orders in my shop !!!!
